• Giftcraft is a long-standing Canadian-
owned company founded in Toronto
around 1945 that also imported and
distributed giftware, often using the same
manufacturing sources as other import
companies.
• In the mid-20th century, Giftcraft was a
significant importer of ceramic items
made in Japan, Taiwan, and other Asian
countries, often marked with paper
&#34;Giftcraft&#34;, and stamped Japan.
• These are mold formed using a white
ceramic clay, then hand painted and a
semi-matte clear glaze applied.
• These chick figurines were primarily
produced in from 1953 through the
1960&#39;s, as &#34;Occupied Japan was printed
up until 1953.
• In excellent condition, no breaks,
cracks, or chips. View images.
