• Hospital patient feeding cup or invalid cup. Initially used in hospitals and originated in England during World War I for injured soldiers and sailors who couldn't sit up to feed. • Realmont produced medical porcelain items for hospitals, as well as for the Canadian Red Cross during WW1 and WW2. • This is made of a porcelain with a white to slightly green glaze. This size was often associated with feeding infants. • The base of this piece reads (Realmont 265 Made in England). • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
