1940&#39;s Version Pyrex Mixing Bowls with No Numbers 80 to 85 Years Old!

• A cross section of agatized fossil coral.
The after-coral pseudomorph was
created when sediment covered a coral
reef. Over time the calcium carbonate
skeleton of the coral was replaced by
chalcedony, creating the bubbly
appearing crystal growth (botryoidal
formation).
• This specimen has honey edges with
large honey, white, grey, blue-grey and
cream botryoidal agate formations in the
vugs.

Hoselton Canada #1202 MCM Beaver Sculpture

• Mercury glass, also known as silvered
glass, is a type of glassware that was
first produced around 1840, primarily in
Bohemia (now the Czech Republic),
Germany, and England.
• The name &#34;mercury glass&#34; comes from
the fact that mercury-based compounds
were used, replaced with silver nitrate.
• I have been unable to find any
equivalent image while searching, and all
the other examples of mercury glass
owls are 6 inches tall or less. So this is a
very unusual and possible rare find.
• Blown orange glass into a mold, with
the &#34;splattered&#34; silver nitrate on the
interior. No makers mark, or labels, so
don&#39;t know where this was made.

Smooth, round-shaped candle holder made from spalted maple wood with distinctive dark, irregular fungal patterns. The wood is split, mirror matched with a walnut wedge inserted centrally. Finished with a matte polish to highlight the natural grain and spalting. The piece is signed and in excellent condition with no scratches, chips, or breaks.

Hand Turned Spalted Maple Candle Holder

• Spalted refers to wood that exhibits
unique colorations and patterns due to
fungal activity. This process, known as
spalting, is caused by various fungi that
colonize and decompose wood.
• The original wood was split, and mirror
marched. A wedge of walnut was placed
in the middle, and then turned on the
lathe to create the form.
• The wood was hand sanded through
multiple stages, polished, and finished a
matt sheen to show off the unique grain
and patterning.
• This piece is signed (RGG) or (AGG),
but I have not been able to discover who
this is, but most likely a wood turner from
Vancouver Island.
