Signed 20th C. Hawaiian Koa Wood Bowl by Chris Allen

Pair of 18th century engravings by renowned British engraver Benjamin Cole (1697–1783), celebrated for his work in cartography, heraldry, and architectural illustration. These plates (Plate I and Plate II) come from Cole’s detailed heraldic documentation and illustrate crowns, crests, shields, and heraldic charges with remarkable precision. His heraldry engravings are historically significant and examples are held in collections of institutions such as the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Bodleian Library, Oxford.
The two plates are presented together in a handsome period-style wooden frame measuring approximately 18&#34; x 12&#34;, and remain in excellent condition with strong impressions and minimal toning consistent with age.
