Lot #327: Five Rare 1972 “Pre-Stamped” Newfoundland Canada postcards - Recognized as Stamp Issue!

Starting bidding

$1.00

Time Remaining:

Bidding starts in 0d 0h 20m

In 1972, Canada Post issued a unique series of stamps - at 8 cents postal value - where the stamp image was printed directly on the reverse of postcard bearing the same image in much larger size on the obverse of the postcards. These unique objects thus qualify as both stamps (and are listed as such in Scott catalogs as Canada UX109B) and as postcards, and are thus doubly collectible. This Newfoundland-themed lot features postcards - and stamps! - showing St. John’s Harbour, Signal Hill, Basie de Verde, Rose Blanche, and Salvage. All postcards unused and all stamps cancelled. Dimensions: 150 mm x 100 mm Pickup category timeslot {A}
