About the artist and his work

Marcello Febbo was born in 1940 in war-torn Italy. He came to Canada in 1954. He is recognized as an accomplished painters, and he has exhibited across Canada and the United States. His paintings are included in corporate and private collections in Canada and abroad.

It&#39;s late Autumn. Maple leaves turn, scarlet, red, orange, amber .....
The green, yellow and brown grasses. A running stream (picture #4), white clouds in the blue sky. What a colourfull view!  And so Canadian!

This sculpture depicts two otters-bears mating, and transforming - from otters to bears. They have otter heads, but <span class"bg-warning nswreasons" id"rid-10">bear</span> tails (for bears have short tiny tails, while otters have long tails). 

Transformation, the ability of a person or spirit to change from one form to another, is a significant theme in Inuit myths, folklore, and art.
