• This wooden horse mannequin has
articulated legs with joints at hock, knee,
and shoulder. The same for the back
lags.
• The head is attached to nineteen
segmented articulated pieces, allowing
for multiple poses.
• The articulated joints use both cotter
pins, and small screw and bolts to allow
movement.
• The detail on this model is impressive,
with carved horseshoes, and a detailed
face, and shaping of the body.
• I have not been able to find the makers
mark or the country of origin on this
piece, and the joint section on the front
legs differs from other models I&#39;ve
researched.

Johann Haviland Blue Garland, 57 Piece Set

• Judi Dyelle graduated with honours
from the Ontario College of Art in 1967.
She was awarded the Lieutenant
Governor&#39;s Medal of Excellence.
• After graduating she received a Canada
Council Grant and spent a year and a
half traveling in Japan and studied with
Tatsuzo Shimaoka
• When Judi returned to Canada, she
began teaching pottery in Toronto and
continued teaching in Vancouver,
Montreal and Victoria.
• Judi was invited to participate in an
International Ceramic Festival and
exhibition in Mokpo, Korea.
• In 1984 Judi and husband Robin
Hopper founded both the collective,
Fired Up! Contemporary Works in Clay&#39;
and the Metchosin International Summer
School of the Arts (MISSA).
• This piece is thrown porcelain, gas fired
reduction atmosphere to cone 10. The
glaze variations result from it&#39;s placement

• This is a large hand formed cone
shaped vase with 3 sculpted penguin
forms at the base.
• The base is covered with a fabric most
likely to cover rough spots, so I do not
know who made this unique piece!
• Crystalline glazes are one of the most
difficult glazes to perfect, so whoever
made this piece is an accomplished
potter. The top lip appears to be
chipped, but is not. The potter decided
to leave the edge in a freeform style.

• Scott, a self-taught potter, started
making pots in 1972. After travelling
around BC, Scott settled on Denman Is.
• Scott and Garnet have enjoyed a 50+
year career that includes high-end large
decorative pieces, ceramic murals that
can be the centrepiece of a room, high-
volume production work, dozens of craft
fairs, and many gallery exhibits.
• Garnet, his partner at the time was the
decorator, and designer of many of the
images like the cat on this plate.
• A light cream stoneware clay, finely
thrown, with a &#34;foot&#34;. Fired to cone 10 in
a gas kiln. Various oxides have been
used to create the cat image, and semi-
