This sterling silver box from 1917 has design elements that transition from the Art Nouveau to the early Art Deco period. Designed by Joseph and Richard Griffin in Chester, England, according to the British Hallmarks found stamped into different spots on the box. One leg appears to be slightly bent, and a few small dents are present.  The bottom plate lifts out and is unmarked. It stands approx. 2" tall, 5" wide, and 3.5" from front to back. The box weighs approx. 181.7g in total. This box would make a wonderful gift, or could serve as a classic gift box for a lucky individual this holiday season.
