Lot #62: Vintage hurricane lamp

This is a vintage or antique oil lamp, also known as a kerosene lamp or hurricane lamp, with an amber-colored glass base and a decorative glass shade. The shade is a key feature, as it's made of amber glass with large, multi-colored glass cabochons (red and green) attached to it. The base of the lamp is made of amber-colored glass with a textured, possibly "thumbprint" or hobnail-like pattern. The lamp has a metal collar that holds the shade and the wick adjuster. Such lamps were popular for both decorative and functional purposes, providing light before the widespread use of electricity. Excellent condition, never used.
