Lot #125: Pair of Vintage Ornate Neoclassical Cast Spelter Urn Lamps - Cherub & Maiden Relief

This is a pair of vintage, non-magnetic cast spelter (zinc alloy) table lamps with a dark, aged patina. These lamps feature a heavy Victorian/Gothic influence with exceptionally detailed high-relief figures. Design: The urn-shaped bodies are decorated with winged cherubs (putti), neoclassical maiden faces, and elaborate floral scrollwork. The neck features a unique flared, petal-like collar. Material Note: Tested with a magnet; bases are non-magnetic (typical of vintage cast spelter or pot metal). Condition: Vintage condition with significant character. Both lamps are tested and functional (see photos). Structural Note: One lamp has a visible structural crack at the narrowest point of the pedestal base. Ornamentation: Both lamps are missing the decorative side handles/scrolls that would have originally been attached to the shoulder of the urn (see close-up photos of the mounting points). Surface: Notable oxidation, calcification, and finish wear consistent with age. One lamp includes a ruby-red glass finial; the second is missing its finial.
