Elegant Limoges dinner and serving ware, in The Lille pattern. Tressemanes & Vogt, also known as T & V, was one of the French potteries in the Limoges region. Known for its fine white kaolin clay, the Limoges region is famous for high-quality porcelain, and has been the source of such pieces since the 1770s. Founded in 1882, T & V produced high-end export ware for the American market, until they were acquired by Martial Raynaud in 1919. The green T & V stamp on reverse dates this set to pre-1907.
