Lot #78: Two ORIGINAL Psychedelic Rock Concert Posters from the Fillmore Era: Quicksilver & Big Brother, 1968--FIRST PRINTS

Here is a lot of two vintage and original psychedelic rock concert posters from the Fillmore Era. Here is what you get: FD-116-OP-1--"It's a Gas." Number 116 in the Family Dog series (poster is approximately 14" x 20") from a concert performed by Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Charlatans, and It's a Beautiful Day held in the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco on 4/26-28/1968. The poster was created by rock poster artist (and one of the "Big Five" rock poster artists) Alton Kelley (1940-2008). This is an original FIRST PRINT poster (according to the guidelines of Eric King's famous reference book) and is in NEAR MINT condition. BG-124-OP-1--[Untitled]. Number 124 in the Bill Graham series (poster is approximately 14" x 22") from a concert performed by Big Brother & the Holding Company, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, and The Foundations held at both The Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco on 6/13-15/1968. The poster was created by rock poster artist, Bob Fried (1937-1975). This is an original FIRST PRINT poster (according to the guidelines of Eric King's famous reference book) and is in NEAR MINT condition. These posters have been stored flat for decades and are in choice condition. They would frame up beautifully. They are getting hard to find in this condition. Located upstairs.
