Two Hand Bowls Glass Tumblers • Both of these are hand-blown glass tumblers made in Mexico, and most likely produced in the states of Jalisco in the areas of Guadalajara and Tonala. • These are local artisans using traditional techniques, often with 100% recycled glass. Both show their pontil marks. • These would have been made between 2000 and 2010. 1) Confetti Glass Tumbler: The was made in a two part process. First a clear glass form was made, and then the hot glass was rolled on bits of broken and shard pieces, then put back in the furnace to bond the layers. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks. or chips. First a clear glass form was made, and then the hot glass was rolled on bits of broken and shard pieces, then put back in the furnace to bond the lavers, and this was twisted to create the swirl effect.
