Birdsey was one of Bermuda’s most influential 20th-century painters, known for his fluid line work, atmospheric washes, and ability to capture the island’s unique light and mood. This serene composition features a small hilltop church with steps and two figures, rendered in soft blue and green tones with Birdsey’s characteristic loose, spontaneous style.
