MARION BOYD GUTHRIE, American, 1920-2014 - Beautiful original watercolour of a 1911 Ford Model T in a terrific frame with red accent to match the car. Great vivid colours. Signed at lower edge. 11.5 x 15 in (frame). *** Guthrie was an artist who lived and worked in Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of the Washington School of Art and the Northwestern Academy of Watercolour. Guthrie was a member of the Brandywine River Museum, the National League of American Pen Women, the Center for the Creative Arts, the Pennsylvania Society of Watercolour Painters, the Chestertown Art League, and the Studio Group, which was a group of women artists who worked out of the Howard Pyle studio in Delaware. She exhibited at the Bicentennial Exhibit NLAPW, Washington DC, Hotel DuPont, Brandywine River Museum, University of Delaware, Philadelphia Sketch Club, Academy of Arts - Easton, MD, New England Fine Arts Institute in Boston, MA.
