Low, wide cylindrical ship’s inkwell in polished sterling silver showing age patina. Domed hinged lid sits flush within rim, surrounded by evenly spaced pen-rest holes. Stamped hallmarks on side; underside marked. Smooth walls, stepped lower band.

This is an antique English sterling silver inkwell, featuring a low, wide maritime form designed to prevent tipping, commonly associated with ship’s or captain’s desk inkwells.
