Lot #51: Pink Iridescent Glass Platter with Floral/Poinsettia Pattern

This is a beautiful Jeanette Glass 1930's pink depression glass serving plate. The pattern is called Floral or is sometimes referred to as Poinsettia. It was made by Jeannette Glass Company between 1931 and 1935. This is the 10 3/4" oval serving plate. It has a bubble and some straw marks (or thread marks) in the glass. Bubbles and straw marks are both part of the manufacturing process during that era and are completely normal and an indication of the age of the glass. It has a few small scratches, but only one area that may have been a chip/straw mark, more likely it was a manufacturing "defect" as it is polished/finished so smoothly.
