Lot #52: Vintage Cobalt Blue Glass Ink Bottle / Inkwell (Small, Machined)

This antique cobalt blue fountain pen inkwell was big enough to hold 2 ounces of ink & that is molded into the glass on the front below the neck. Square in shape, the glass has air bubbles/irregularities that you'd expect to see in old glass while the bottom has what appears to be a pontil or mold mark. The glass is thicker, the bottle is sturdy & there are no cracks or hairlines anywhere in the glass. In very good condition, there is some small chipping around the neck on the top of the neck however it almost looks like this occurred in the molding process. It's pretty by itself, displayed on a shelf or sitting in among others that you might have. Measures 2" square, Top opening is approximately 3/4 inch inside rim to rim.
