Lot #101: PT Tirschenreuth Porcelain Teacup, Saucer & Plate, Munich Crest

P.T. Tirschenreuth Teacup, Saucer, plate set with the Munchener Kindl. This is a lovely example of a Porcelain Keepsake from Munich. The rims, foot and handle have gold gilt trim as does the rim of the saucer. The teacup measures approximately 2.25" high and 4 1/8" across the rim. The diameter of the saucer is almost 6" and plate diameter is almost 7.5". The china marking is under heavy gold gilting, there are many "thoughts" why this would happen, 1 such is that the artist who painted the plate set wanted more visible credit.
