Born in Toronto, Robert Bateman has been a keen artist and naturalist from his early days. He has always painted wildlife and nature, beginning with a representational style, moving through impressionism and cubism to abstract expressionism. In his early thirties he moved back to realism as a more suitable way to express the particularity of the planet. It is this style that has made him one of the foremost artists depicting the world of nature
 
This is a large limited edition measuring approximately 28 X 39 and is in mint condition and has never been framed.

This 2022  toonie coin is minted in brilliant uncirculated finish.  From an uncirculated roll. The black outer ring commemorates the sadness of the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022.  Each toonie is 28 mm in diameter and weighs 6.99 grams. The outer ring is minted in three ply nickel finish plated steel. The outer ring is not &#34;jet black&#34; but clearly  is coloured much darker than normal toonies--it looks like a &#34;dark charcoal&#34; I would describe it as.  The significance of the &#34;black ring&#34; is a solemn commemoration of the Queen.  The inner ring is brass-plated aluminum bronze.  Your coin will be protected in a cardboard holder.  NO CASE OR CERTIFICATE INCLUDED.
