One of a kind large, heavy coffee table is hand painted in gold on dark, almost black, ground, and signed by artist Renato Riccio. A zodiac circle is bordered by the legend &#34;The Processional Cycle of the Ages 2000 Anno Domini The Age of Aquarius.&#34; The circle shows each sign&#39;s astrological symbol, and the season in which each sign occurs, while opposing corners feature Celtic knots and a sun and moon face. Two dovetail drawers on opposite sides pull out by means of finger holes; the drawers, skirt, and legs are decorated with pin-striping. Some wear, as shown. Lighted Mission Pillars

This standout piece makes a statement in any room. Big, and we mean big, vintage trunk will hold linens, games, whatever, in abundance. Oak--note that the front piece and domed top are each one plank of wood, as are sides and back. With perforated foliate strapping, corners, escutcheon, likely iron. Large ornamented iron bail handles. Hinged top with small knob and key. Block feet, one needs to be reattached, as does one corner tin piece; we have both. Vintage French Trunk

Exhibiting the yin & yang of a true Monk&#39;s bench, this hardwood settle features 19th C simplicity with a hinged box seat offering ample storage, dentil detailing at the base and fluted box legs and arms.  The elaborate back panels with winged griffins, and the carved crest offer up much more - a symmetry of ornamental scrolling and a central scallop shell motif.  It all works out as one, and is a well-balanced piece. Faded peach paint throughout pulls this piece together beautifully. Please note all pictures: wear is consistent with age and use.  Still, a sturdy, functional and fascinating item.

Monk&#39;s Bench 

Modeled on Diego Giacometti&#39;s Le Chat Maître d&#39;Hôtel, this piece is likely cast spelter, a zinc-lead alloy with the weight of bronze, here with an aged coppery patina. Giacometti, brother of sculptor Alberto Giacometti, created the original in the 1960s. Over the course of his lifetime, it&#39;s estimated that he created over 5,000 pieces, including sculptures, furniture, and architectural fittings, most notably among these last the furniture, railings, lamps, and other elements for the Picasso Museum in Paris. This charming piece presents a standing cat on a rectangular base, holding a shallow tray--perfect for change, jewelry, cards, and other small items. One arm appears to have a hairline crack, as shown.

Cat Butler, after Giacometti

Classic and collectible, for good reason. The Imari patterns have a rich history steeped in Japanese culture and global trade, and have remained popular for over three centuries. 
Originating in the town of Arita on the island of Kyushu in the 17th century, Imari porcelain quickly gained popularity both domestically and internationally. Named after the port city of Imari, from where these exquisite wares were exported, the pattern typically features vibrant colors of underglaze cobalt blue, iron red, green, with gilt accents, often depicting asian motifs such as flower gardens, and landscapes. 
Offered here, four colorful Japanese Imari plates celebrating this artform - three painted in underglaze blue and enamels with alternating panels of floral sprays and branches, around a central roundal of symbolic plants, fantastic birds and a phoenix, with floral sprays. The first shown has a pronounced foot ring.   All stamped. Condition: good - excellent

Four Imari Plates 

Two massive 48-Star flags, representing the US from 1912-1959, one in very good condition, most likely flown off a ship mast based on the roping support attached.  Brilliant colors, not faded, well-preserved.  The better of the two shows some small holes, stains, and a minor reparable rip at the base hem and it needs a cleaning.  Apologies to all fellow patriots for placing this gem on the ground - it was the only way to display full condition! Second flag not examined in full view but similar vintage and size.  Offered here with a rose gold-washed cast iron iconic eagle plaque with screws attached on the back.

Two Huge 48-Star US Linen Flags 

Luminous sunset scene foregrounds a small cottage with smoke rising from the chimney, with a couple of sailboats reflected in the calm waters of a lake. Subtle colors in the sky and reflected in the water create a peaceful image. Unsigned, but obviously the work of a skilled artist, with assured handling of color and light. Unframed, on wood panel.

Vintage Original Oil Lake Scene

A simple wrought iron settee with curved arm rests and thick solid wrapped backing just begging for your seat pads!  Deep seat and in very good shape with the exception of rust on underside.  Paired here with a round terra cotta storage vessel covered with uniform protruding &#34;nubs&#34;.  Known as a LOBI, a favored pottery of the people of Burkina Faso. Provenance on this item unknown - tag in picture indecipherable.   No lid.

Wrought Iron Settee and African Lobi Pot

This large hinged box is in excellent condition, and a nice contemporary example of the ancient Japanese art of lacquerwork, believed to date as far back as 14,000 BCE. The lacquer, from the lacquer tree, seals wooden items and protects them from decay. This handpainted box has brass hasp latches, bail handles, and hinges. Stylized butterflies, fronds, and flowers in gold decorate a black ground, smoothly lacquered. Felt lined, simple wooden bar for each side&#39;s foot. Very good condition.

Collectible Lighters featuring RONSON

Possibly a Godinger item although we did not see a stamp other than #29 on the back hinge.  Intricately embossed floral and scrolling pattern on exterior and interior lid which holds a music mechanism (not working for us but not examined out of lid) Sectioned for rings and small trinkets and lined in green velvet, this box has one loose foot (we have it! - see pic) but looks easy to re-adhere.

Engraved Silver Jewelry/Music  Box 

This significant piece of brasswork stands just over 3&#39; tall, and is crowned with the horns of the bull, which 
represent the crescent moon. This symbol was seen in Egyptian images of the goddess Isis, and in many other ancient cultures of the Middle East. In fine condition, with three drilled holes on the hemispherical base, indicating it was once attached to another base, perhaps.

Tall Brass Horns of the Bull 

Dramatic hand-carved piece features a village scene. Spreading trees shelter thatched huts and villagers engaged in a variety of farming-related jobs. Clothing places this in the mid-1900s. Stained wood, likely teak, in excellent condition. This piece may hail from Baan Tawai, a village in northern Thailand know for its handicrafts, especially wood carvings. Heavy, you will need to bring help to remove from the wall.

Perfectly cylindrical with a soft, creamy beige glaze.  Stamped on the base with a red reign mark and inscribed on the side - we trust the collector will be able to decipher the origin (Qing dynasty?) and message!

Chinese Umbrella Stand

A handsome, gridded, soldered sphere on a heavy metal base from the Holiday Gallery.  A  tall, tubular vase with 1-2&#34; white ceramic rings wrapped and layered strategically around the cylinder giving it unusual and interesting depth and texture.  Also, a Sarsaparilla Art Deco Revival Lamp (stamped)  After Frankart Design, originally on 5th Ave in NYC.   Frankart lamps are known for their distinctive Art Deco style, which often includes geometric patterns and stylized figures. Here, their so-called &#34;nudie girl&#34; holds up a lit orb that gives the impression she&#39;s holding up the moon. Frosted glass disc is chipped but still functional.

Deco-esque!

These once-utilitarian items have become highly collectible, with their beautiful translucent colors and varying shapes. Insulators came into use in the mid 1800s, when telegraph lines became common, and were necessary to protect the wooden poles from the electrical wires. Their use spread as telephones and electric power lines came into widespread use.  This lot contains insulators from Whitall Tatum, Brookfield, Hemingray, and Victor, in aqua, clear glass, one white ceramic, and one unusual glass with a clear top over smoke base, possibly caused by sun exposure. These date to the last half of the 1800s and into the early 1900s, and are all in good to very good condition. Bring box and packing materials.

Antique Insulator Collection

Once found in kitchens before installed cabinets became the norm, this enameled metal cabinet is the cousin to a hoosier. It features beveled glass inserts, a 2-door top compartment, with 3 drawers and a single compartment below the work surface. Replacement shelving both top and bottom. Original hardware pulls, with one missing on the top door. Wear as shown, commensurate with age and a busy kitchen. We&#39;ve added a nice set of useful ceramics, circa 1930s. These pieces were included when one bought a refrigerator from GE or Westinghouse, and each is in like-new condition: pitcher, covered butter or cheese keeper, and covered small round dish, from Hall Ovenware China. The pitcher is missing its lid--we&#39;re looking! Also, three pieces of hobnail amber glass, including a lidded chicken dish, a lidded round dish, and a vase with flared mouth. Plus an unopened tin box from Celia Birtwell, with a few necessities for the home or office. Bring help and appropriate vehicle.

Most likely after Ernest Rancoulet. A young lady in a flowing skirt/dress and loose french braid appears to be offering up fruits - maybe apples?  Moving casually with a playful, kind expression, this piece exudes an Art Nouveau sensibility in its sensual movement. It does NOT attract a magnet. Perhaps bronze. Some minor wear. Needs cleaning.

Ernest Rancoulet Sculpture 

The Framingham History Center calls local son Wallace Nutting &#34;an American renaissance man,&#34; and with good reason.  With skills ranging from photography to writing to furniture making, Nutting (1861-1941) spearheaded the Colonial Revival movement, which became influential in home design, furnishings, and an interest in historic preservation. His Framingham factory turned out items for the home, and its success gave him the freedom to pursue other interests, particularly the collecting of antiques. His 2-volume &#34;Furniture Treasury&#34; is itself collectible, and still in print. Much of his collection was sold to J.P. Morgan, and ended up in the Wadsworth Atheneum. He is perhaps best know for the hand-tinted photographs of bucolic scenes, sold then at department stores and today in antique stores. This duo is signed under each tipped-in photo, and the larger is titled Happy Valley Scene. In period wood frames. Happy Valley Scene has some slight staining to the bottom right of the mount board, as shown.

An odd threesome offered here...Justice is Blind: A sculpture from Argentinian artist Hugo De Ritis of Lady Justice holding the scales and sword, with the requisite blindfold wrapped over her eyes. And a lidded heavy metal walnut shaped container with a natural textured feel and glowing &#34;bronzed&#34;glaze.  A classic lidded bubble glass apothecary jar, ornately detailed and feeling heavily Spanish in a pewtered finish.

Unusual Threesome featuring Hugo De Ritis

Exquisitely carved Oriental camphor wood box, most likely used to store or transport hankies and small scarves as the aroma is not attractive to moths and insects. Adorned on each panel with lions pulling ribbons and a floral motif.  Hinged and wood-lined.  No lock or key available (as yet) for the brass latch.  (We&#39;re still searching!) And a striking hinged maple (or maybe Ash?) heavily varnished urn with arched bonnet and decorative scalloped side panels and base. Outlined on all edges and lid in black.

Two Unusual Wooden Boxes

Make a strong visual statement. Many commercially manufactured twisted custom canes feature wrapped snakes etc. around a separate basic straight staff.  Here we offer a most unusual Diamond Back Python cane formed from one strong twisted Blackthorn (most likely) shaft.  Exquisitely embellished with various inlaid abalone and/or mother-of-pearl &#34;diamonds&#34;, this walking stick truly appears to be life-like and ready to slither up your coat-sleeve while strolling.  Intricate detailing throughout even on the underside of the neck. Polished and laquered with some minor wear to the handle.

Crazy Canes featuring the Diamond Python

Marvelous wire work at play throughout this Tibetan jewelry box.  Heavily filigreed swirls of wire bordered by geometric floral patterns and inlaid with various colored stones, small sheets of dyed metals, and silver on every exterior surface. The tiered, arched lid and feet are heavily jeweled.  Red stained wood indeterminate. Some missing specs here and there but in astoundingly good shape considering its delicate nature.
