"Fateeva-Solovieva" refers to the joint work and shared signature of two Soviet artists, Irina Anatolyevna Fateeva and Galina Sergeevna Solovieva. They worked in a creative alliance starting in 1942. The Artists: Irina Anatolyevna Fateeva (1908–1981) was a graphic artist, originally from Ukraine, who often focused her work on themes from Russian fairy tales. Galina Sergeevna Solovieva (1908–1984) was a Russian painter, graphic artist, and theater designer. Their Collaboration: Beginning in 1942, the two artists formed a professional partnership and often signed their works with the combined name "Solovieva-Fateeva" or "Fateeva-Solovieva". This joint signature makes it difficult to determine whether a work from this period is a collaborative piece or an individual effort by either artist.
