This auction is for a pair of the legendary Acoustic Research AR-2ax 3-way speakers. Known as one of the most successful "acoustic suspension" designs in history, these speakers are famous for their smooth, natural sound and deep, accurate bass that rivals much larger cabinets. Service & Maintenance: Fully Recapped: The original, aging crossover capacitors have been replaced with high-quality modern equivalents to restore factory-spec frequency response. Potentiometers Serviced: The midrange and high-frequency level controls on the rear have been cleaned/serviced to ensure smooth, static-free adjustment. Tested: These speakers have been tested working. Specifications: Design: 3-way acoustic suspension (sealed cabinet).
