Fully leaded stained glass autonomous panel, in excellent condition. A floral border surrounds the Deco-ish central area. Opalescent pieces make up the majority of the design, with a few scrolls of transparent golden hammered glass to provide bright accents, and eight small grass-green jewels symmetrically placed along the fillet. Green, white, and red to orange florals, with larger pale yellow and white central pieces, all surrounded by the fillet, in mainly blues shading to purple. Opalescent glass was introduced by John LaFarge, a giant of stained glass design and production, and adopted by Tiffany. It is produced by blending two or more colors, and creates unique panels. (Examples of LaFarge&#39;s windows may be seen at Trinity Church in Copley Square, and at the McMullen Museum at Boston College.) The age of this piece is unknown. One small dent in frame, as shown. Leaded Stained Glass Panel

Featured here: a 19th-century replica of a court foil or rapier, wire wrapped with a hilt made of chased copper alloy and a guard decorated with a possibly symbolic equestrian scene and a matching pommel. The blade is steel and triangular in cross-section. Unsigned, most likely ornamental. 41&#34;L 
Next - THE SWORD. 
Excalibur is the legendary, magical sword of King Arthur, often depicted as a symbol of divine sovereignty, bestowed upon him by the Lady of the Lake or drawn from a stone. It represents Arthur&#39;s rightful kingship and wields immense power, with its scabbard (not available here) , in particular, providing protection against fatal wounds in battle. This replica is made from very worldly sources - brass, high carbon steel, and wood - sorry, probably not forged from Dragon&#39;s blood.  But a fine ornamental piece - some indeterminate spatters on one side near the guard, otherwise, fine. 42&#34;L

Sword &#38; Foil

A nautical miscellany, highlighted by a single tillerman bookend, stamped Leonard Craske, JB 2653. Jennings Brothers, a CT foundry, produced this gilt bronze piece modeled after the Fishermen&#39;s Memorial in Gloucester, which was designed by sculptor Leonard Craske (1882–1950). The statue, Craske&#39;s signature piece, was created after extensive time spent with Gloucester&#39;s fishermen, at sea and on shore, and also direct input from them as to the design, which was at first thought to look more like a well-heeled yachtsman than a working mariner. Craske, originally from London, was a multi-talented artist--a draftsman, photographer, actor, with a background in medical studies and various sciences. He was also known as the life of the party in the Rocky Nook artists&#39; colony during the 1920s and 30s. His work may be seen at the Cape Ann Museum, and at various sites around New England. This lot also includes cast iron mermaids, a vintage brass and wood spyglass, a carved wood stick mimicking a bird&#39;s claw, decorative but functional brass portholes, brass easel-style sailboat from Penco, small copper light with fresnel-style lens, untested, and more. Seafaring Collectibles, including Leonard Craske Bookend

Unique and significant  bronze clock on black marble base, signed Piolaine. After Michel-François Piolaine, who worked in the late 1700-early 1800s period, before disappearing around 1815. His Paris workshop continued to produce clocks under his widow&#39;s oversight, until around 1820. Here, a patinated bronze classical figure, possibly Juno or her Greek equivalent Hera, is seated on a simple plinth and flanked by two lions. Her robes reveal sandaled feet, a diadem crowns her braids. She holds in her lap the clock, with white enamel ring with hand-painted numerals surrounding a pressed bronze face, in a bronze case with glass door. Spiral-driven movement is accessed through a bronze door on the reverse. Stamped signature Piolaine on back of plinth. Minus key, untested. This is a large, heavy piece; bring box and packing material. Ground floor.

Dancing Diva featuring Collectible Gems 

Vintage pair of carved wooden monks, both seated in relaxed positions, one with hands folded in prayer. They are possibly silver leaf, but have not been tested. Stylized faces and classic positions. Each wears a one-shoulder robe which pools gracefully on the ground behind them, each decorated with scrolling patterns and glass &#34;jewels.&#34; Likely teak. Skilled craftsmanship is on exhibit in this hand-carved wooden table, with delicate brass inlay of flowers, leaves, and brass wire stems. Glass Paperweights

Evocative charcoal drawing of the Longfellow Bridge--aka Salt and Pepper--at dusk. Note the sailboats and gulls, the state house, and possibly the Arlington St church to the far right. The overhead trolley wires on the bridge, the unobstructed view of the State House dome, and the mainly low-rise skyline date this to the turn of the last century. Unsigned, although the signature may be under the matte--we did not examine this piece out of the frame. Under glass, matted in a distressed gilt wood frame. This highly desirable drawing is in excellent condition.

An appealing vintage lot of carved wood decoys, includes two loons and two ducks, all painted and appropriately weathered. The goldeneye decoy has a small decal on underside, with handwritten &#34;M?C Hall for Lake Ontario,&#34; and two drilled holes for the decoy line connector. A decorative greenwing tail drake, stamped on underside &#34;The Boyd Collection 1982-1987,&#34; and labeled and signed J. Weaver. And a pair of decorative common loons, heads raised, beaks open, bought by our client in Plymouth 20 years ago.

Three Iconic pieces that suggest Afghan or possibly SE Asian origin and style. But note, the Rupee on the necklace which was representative prior 1925. The Afghan Afghani (AFN), replaced the Afghan rupee in 1925. The Taliban, which took control in 2021, has banned the use of foreign currencies, including the Pakistani rupee, in local transactions, enforcing the use of the Afghani. Perhaps these decorative items were allowed to use outdated coin imagery?  Expert insight welcomed!

Five Ebony African Heads

An assortment of collectible pieces, highlighted by the huge 48-star linen flag. Grommeted, and with a few areas of damage, as shown. Pre-1959, when Alaska became the 49th state. Three eagle-themed items: a cast iron statue of an eagle, wings raised as it prepares to fly; a pair of cast brass eagle bookends, with stippled back and felt bottom (one missing), unsigned but likely from Colonial Virginia; and an eagle flagpole finial. And a trio of framed pieces: a large framed grouping of all US presidents up to Barack Obama (somewhat oddly not titled), with a commemorative coin from 2000, and the Oath of Office below. From the United States Commemorative Gallery, intended to have each space filled with that president&#39;s commemorative coin, in a giltwood frame. A unique and funky folk art piece with hand-cut heads of the first 12 presidents, glued to a black backing and surrounded by green tape, under glass in a simple wood frame. And a matted and framed page from an unknown book, showing then-candidate for president FDR throwing out the first ball to start the third game of the 1932 World Series.

Americana Including Big 48-star Flag

A commemorative portrait of the French 74-gun warship &#34;Invincible,&#34; dedicated to Rear Admiral Sir Peter Warren, who seized the ship in May of 1747, under the command of Vice Admiral George Anson. Although the British fleet numbered only 14 ships, and the French fleet 30 ships, the British prevailed and captured 6 ships plus 7 merchantmen in a 5 hour battle. The engagement, known as the First Battle of Finisterre, was part of the War of Austrian Succession, 1740-1748. The ship became part of the British fleet, and was the first 74-gun ship in the British Navy, sadly wrecked after running aground in 1758. This color lithograph shows the Invincible broadside and flying the Union Jack after her capture, with other ships of the British fleet in the distance. Engraved by John Boydell, after artist Robert Short. The original hangs at the National Maritime Museum in London. Matted with hand-inked gold rule, under glass in a wood and giltwood frame. This is a large item; ground floor.
