This is a giclee print of The Canoe (1912) by Tom Thomson.  Tom Thomson (1877 - 1917) is considered one of the most important and infuential Canadian artists.  He painted from an intense inner necessity and a love of the Ontario north.  He was close to members of the Group of Seven and had a profound influence on their work, however Tom Thomson died before the group’s official 1920 formation.

This is a reproduction of the famous painting titled &#34;Bathers at Asnières&#34;, an 1884 painting by the French artist Georges Pierre Seurat.  In the painting, several men and boys relax on the banks of the Seine at Asnières and Courbevoie, an industrial suburb north-west of central Paris. Vintage Toronto Telegram Newspaper October 10 1964

Vintage Toronto Telegram newspaper over 60 years old!  Does not appear to be complete.  See photos for sample pages.  Main story is the visit of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip in Charlottetown, having recently arrived on the royal yacht Britannia.  Interesting to read the articles as well as the vintage ads.  Condition is poor and fragile but still readable and interesting to see.
