Sterling Silver Serving Pieces

This is a stunning original oil painting on board by Venetian painter Paolo Bonetto. Beautiful wood-gilded frame with carved detail.  Painting is approx 35 x 31” surrounded by 1/4” gold-gilded wood frames set on linen recessed matting and then that is framed with 3” gold-gilded wood frame. Overall size is 45.75 x 42 inches. Signed Bonetto with trademark spider-type logo. Purchased in 2007 at the Botegga D’Arte San Marco in Venice. Original receipt included in lot as well as a book in both English and Italian with photos of other works by the artist.

Antique Haviland Limoges Old Abbey china lunch set. Rimmed in 24 k gold. Includes 12 15.5-inch bowls; 11 7-inch lunch plates; 12 5.5-inch saucers; 9 cups; creamer; lidded sugar bowl. Minor chips on 2 of the lunch plates. Minor scratches on some of the gold rims. All stored in quilted zippered storage cases with protection between each piece.

The “Old Abbey” mark indicates they were made in France for the J.L. Hudson Company in Detroit possibly around 1920.
