Two live plants: Plant condition not guaranteed. 1. Small aloe plant, recently repotted off an overgrown mama who spread beyond her pot. Pot measures about 5" high. 2. Moses-in-the-cradle/oyster plant. Pot measures about 11" high. Does not include stand or saucer plate underneath. Originally brought from Panama many, many years ago this tradescantia spathacea is a hardy plant which propogates easily and can handle some neglect and abuse. Perfect plant for newbies, black thumbs or anyone who wants an exotic pop of purple in their home. • Long, sword-shaped leaves growing in rosettes • Green tops with deep purple undersides • Leaves that become more purple in strong sunlight • A clumping, spreading habit as new shoots form around the base This tropical plant is native to Central America and southern Mexico. • It’s nicknamed “Moses-in-the-Cradle” because the small white flowers sit inside little boat-shaped purple bracts. • In bright sun the pigments called anthocyanins intensify, giving that dramatic purple armor plating look. • It spreads easily by offsets and stem pieces, which is why this pot looks like a cheerful plant crowd.
