Pair of Mid-Century Ceramic Black Panther Table Lamps with Grey Lava Glaze. Mid-Century Modern ceramic black panther lamps are unsigned, but were predominately made in the United States by various pottery companies in the 1960's. The lamp bases are done in a molded ceramics with a gloss black glaze and depict a roaring black panther next to a tree stump. The panthers are accented with a grey swirled lava styled glaze. There may be a faint model number, possibly "229" impressed on the base. Both lamps are in working order, but retain their original wiring.
