Antique porcelain figurine of a young woman feeding a bird, circa 1770 made by Hochst. Hand painted. Good Condition. Measures: 6" high More about the porcelain maker: Founded in 1746 near Frankfurt, Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur was the third oldest German hard-paste porcelain manufacturer, following Meissen and Vienna. Known for its Rococo figures and detailed painting, the factory excelled under modeler Johann Peter Melchior before closing in 1796 due to the French Revolutionary wars SUCA: Condition as seen in photos.
