First edition, first impression, volume 1 and 2 of "The Life of Sir William Osler" by Harvey Cushing, published by the Clarendon Press in Oxford in 1925. Publisher's Cloth. First Edition. Two volumes, First Edition. 44 black and white plates. Original publisher's blue cloth with gilt lettering to spines. Rubbing and bumping to bindings, with a few slight marks to boards but in otherwise good condition. The two-volume biography won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 1926. The author, Harvey Cushing, was a renowned neurosurgeon and a close friend and protege of Osler.
