Antique c.1833 Embroidery &#38; Cross-stitch Sampler.

A stunning embroidered and cross stitch sampler with beautiful soft colours and a lovely depiction of a house and garden with sheep flowers and eagle crests. The couched green cheneille gives a wonderful three dimensional effect to the foliage.  Small holes as shown.  Good antique condition.  In a fine wooden frame.  21”x20”. Antique Dated 1832 Embroidery Sampler on Linen

A beautiful sampler depicting flowers, trees and birds in greens, red, gold and taupe.  The date on the bottom has faded and reads either 1808 or 1838.   This measures 14.5”x 17.5” in good condition for age.  Would benefit from reframing as the sampler is loose in the frame.  Condition as shown.

A lovely cross stitch sampler on linen with the Alphabet, Flowers, trees and birds in a beautiful pine frame.  It’s worked in rich orange, green and red threads. .  13.5” x 16.5” In good antique condition.  This is one of several early samplers listed in this sale.

Antique PIne Dough Storage Box

Fantastic Canadian pine dish dresser with two glazed doors with a series of small drawers underneath.  The blue paint is perfectly in keeping with the piece but is not original.  It measures 54 in wide x 20 in deep x 78 in tall. Bottom cabinet door and right side panel have cracks in them. Moderate surface wear, scuffing, and marks on wood throughout. Knobs are loose and need readjustment. Interior has surface wear and marks from use.  Please bring help. Located on the main floor with steps to the outside.

Antique Pine Step Back Flat to the Wall Cupboard 

Terrific oil on panel painting signed “J.B. Anderson”. Signature is consistent with that of noted Scottish painter James Bell Anderson (1886-1938).   The street is alive with people chatting and busy with their day while a horse drawn carriage and street car run through the middle.  This painting will come to life with a cleaning. Lamp is in good working condition. Note chipping and cracking to frame as shown.

Antique Signed Street Scene Oil Painting 

Fabulous early oval wine cooler with a floral and bird pattern.  Made by Read & Clementson, in Staffordshire England.  Their partnership ended in 1839.  The handles on either side have been broken off and there is some crazing as shown in the photos. Stamped “Japan Beauty Stoneware” R&& on the bottom.  This would make a terrific jardiniere or a wine cooler as it was intended.
