This vintage Japanese porcelain tea service features an elegant hand-painted landscape design, likely depicting Mount Fuji or a similar traditional scene. The set is finished with a striking wide gold luster or gilded border and accents on the handles and spouts. This 17-piece collection includes a teapot with lid, a double-handled sugar bowl with lid, a creamer (milk jug), and four sets of cups with matching saucers and dessert/luncheon plates. Characteristic of mid-20th-century Japanese eggshell or Kutani-style porcelain, these sets were often crafted for the export market and may feature a hidden lithophane image in the base of the cups.
