Lot #95: Assorted Kitchen Culinary Lot

This lot was in the kitchen of an estate sale clean out and features a charming duo of vintage kitchen collectibles, and after some research, the lot consists of – • Antique Alfred Andresen & Co. Rosette Irons, circa 1893–1913. This set includes two classic cast iron molds in heart and fluted round (circle) shapes, along with the original wire dipping handle. Alfred Andresen was a notable Minneapolis entrepreneur who specialized in providing traditional Scandinavian baking tools (like rosettes, krumkake, and Goro irons) to the large immigrant population in the Midwest. The cast iron is in excellent structural condition; the box is intact but shows significant shelf wear consistent with age. Alfred Andresen pieces are highly sought after by cast iron enthusiasts, as the castings were often jobbed out to high-quality foundries like Griswold. • Vintage M.C.P. "Romance of Jelly Making" Set, circa 1940s–1950s. M.C.P. was a pioneer in commercial pectin, and these sets were often acquired via mail-order "box top" offers. The condition of the paper ephemera has some yellowing and creases typical of mid-century paper. The strainer bag appears unused or well-preserved. This lot would be an excellent addition to a collector’s collection of mid-century Americana and Scandinavian-American culinary history or for display in someone’s kitchen.
