This is a Soviet &#34;Pilotka&#34; (пилотка), a traditional military side cap or garrison cap. While the cap itself is a standard olive-drab military design, the dense arrangement of pins indicates this is likely a souvenir or collector’s item rather than a piece of active-duty uniform. In the Soviet Union, &#34;pin trading&#34; and collecting was a massive hobby, and it is very common to find these caps decorated with a variety of pins ranging from military honors to sports awards and youth organization badges. The pins on this cap are a mix of ideological, commemorative, and achievement-based awards. Also, a royal blue bib-style apron featuring the official emblem of the American Legion.
