Johnson Brothers (England), one of the most famous names in Staffordshire pottery. Based on the mark and the pattern, here are the details: The Identification Manufacturer: Johnson Brothers (Hanley, England). Pattern Name: This specific design is often referred to as "Black Greek Key with Pink Roses" (sometimes cataloged by collectors under the code JB56). Era: This green crown mark was used extensively during the 1930s and 1940s. Given the Art Deco "octagonal" shape and the specific geometric border, it most likely dates to the late 1930s. Historical Context Johnson Brothers was known for producing high-quality, durable earthenware (often called "Ironstone"). During the 1930s, they modernized their kilns to survive the Depression, and this specific pattern was a popular bridge between the traditional Victorian floral styles and the more modern, geometric Art Deco trends. Collector Value   Condition Check: I noticed a small brown "mark" near the backstamp in your second photo. If that is a small "Y" shape painted by hand, it’s likely a decorator’s mark used to track which artist painted the gold trim for payment purposes—which is a neat bit of history! In good condition no chips cracks comes with table sheet and Saint Patrick's Day cloth Pickup category timeslot {A}
