Antique Silver Thimble

Sterling silver ring. Very big and heavy: 8.77 grams and I estimate 21 mm in diameter on the inside - I dont have a ring sizer. It fits my right hand Index finger and I&#39;m a pretty big guy. The 925 stamp is just visible as 92 so I think this ring is quite old.

Super cute heavy solid sterling silver 3/4 inch turtle on a light 18 inch chain. The turtle is marked 925 and was tested. It has a nicely worked shell. The mark on the untested chain hasn&#39;t appeared.

Silver Qabalistic Amulet on Chain 

16 inch sterling silver necklace marked 925 on clasp, with lustrous opaque black facetted beads of what I think is French Jet, (actually a type of black glass (often faceted), it is heavier and colder than true jet

The title is a speculative but educated guess: I THINK this is a piece of Victorian mourning jewellery from the 19th century. The design of the little nubbins framing each bead and the wear on them suggests an antique piece to me. As do some of the accompanying finds (viz Lot 1). But I am no expert. 

Antique Victorian mourning necklaces featuring sterling silver and black beads are prized mementos of 19th-century remembrance. These pieces were popularised by Queen Victoria following the death of Prince Albert in 1861. Authentic examples often pair hand-crafted black beads with sterling silver clasps, chains, or decorative pendants.

Silver Victorian Mourning Necklace

Vintage (or antique?) Victorian-style graduated pearl necklace. Probably freshwater cultured. Sliding clasp looks like silver (untested) and is stamped inside with maker marks which are difficult to decipher. 

Excellent quality and condition, (in my self-educated opinion) - I have not had it appraised. The pearls are lustrous and colour-matched with a rosy golden hue. 

71 pearls, ranging in size from 4 mm
to the largest head pearl of 8 mm.

The total length is 18 inches

Cast Brass Horse Bolo Tie

This is a cool bracelet made from a Russian silver spoon that I bought from a jeweller on a trip long ago through central asia and the middle east. It is signed by the artist M.J. Özgul. Easily bent to fit any wrist or arm. 

I have not identified the marks other than Russian, nor had it  tested - but it is not reactive to magnets and shows no plate wear. I think it is a silver alloy in the lower range common in early 20th century Russia. It is in any case useful jewellery because the curve is formed such that one can take it off and still use it to eat soup, which has been tested. 

The bowl is 2 ¾ long by 1 ¾ inches wide and is ⅜ inch deep.
