Large 19th Century Victorian w Burl Walnut Oval Loo Breakfast Table with Tilt Top Circa 1860, this Victorian Loo Table made in England and stamped w serial numbers matching top and base is solid mahogany. 4 carved splayed legs, hinged top, seats 4 -6 people. Size is 53.5" L X 35.75" W X 27.5" H If you're not familiar with "Loo", it is because wealthy ladies in grand houses played the card game ‘loo’ sitting around the table taking afternoon tea at the same time hence the name ‘loo table’. These tables are listed from 4000-7000 range on ebay. Incredibly ornate carving in the base, it has had a crack across the top and some edge repairs (see pictures).
