And have but a short time to do it in. Soon we shall be called to breakfast and then our work commences for the day. There is no certainty of our forces preparing for winter or cold weather, for that we have not seen much as yet. We are all in our shirt sleeves, sweating as much as if it was in June. I never saw such moderate weather, and so mild a climate. However it is known whether we are to remain here or not.
