Almandine Garnet Crystal • Garnets are part of the silicate family of minerals and typically grow in a cubic crystal system, often forming a 12-sided shape called a rhombic dodecahedron. • The name comes from a corruption of alabandicus, a stone named by Pliny the Elder. It is an iron aluminium garnet with a deep red color, often inclining to purple. • It has a high hardness, ranging from 7.0 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. • Almandine is often used as a healing or grounding crystal, associated with the root chakra and believed to enhance passion and creativity. • In excellent condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips.
