(1880-1894) "Lufkin Rule Company" Folding Boxwood & Brass 24 Inch Ruler • Founded in 1869 in Ohio by Edward Taylor Lufkin, moving to Saginaw, Michigan, in 1895. • Antique Lufkin Rule Co. boxwood and brass folding rulers were manufactured in Saginaw, Michigan, starting in the late 19th century. • This model was made before they moved to Michigan, so dates 1880 to 1894. • These rules typically feature an "arch joint" made of brass that allows the tool to fold compactly for storage in a pocket. • In excellent condition, no breaks, or chips.
