made in Japan, Taiwan, and other Asian
countries, often marked with paper

Two &#34;Calamityware&#34; Mugs by Don Moyer
• At first glance, the mug appears to have
a traditional blue-willow pattern, but a
closer look reveals some interesting
calamities, including UFOs, aggressive
pterodactyls, a voracious sea monster,
robots, pirate ships, giant frogs, zombie
poodles, and other just plain weird and
wonderful images.
• These are made at the Kristoff Porcelain
Workshop in Walbrzych, Poland.
• Don Moyer holds degrees in Graphic
Design from the Philadelphia College of
Art and Yale University.
• Calamityware began in 2011 after
Moyer inherited a traditional Blue Willow
pattern plate. While sketching it in his
notebook, he felt the design &#34;needed
more flair&#34; so added a pterodactyl.
These mugs are dated 2015.
