Lot #10: ​Large Vintage 1992 Chinese Calligraphy - "Endurance" - Artist Signed & Framed

A striking piece of original Chinese calligraphy featuring a large central character, "忍" (Rěn), which translates to Endurance, Patience, or Forbearance. This piece is a "commemorative exchange" between artists/scholars and includes a philosophical verse regarding contentment and peace. Artist: Chen Yuanbin - identified by the artist's seal. Date: June 1992 Location of Origin: Written at Moganshan, a famous historic mountain retreat in Zhejiang Province. Calligraphy Style: Cursive/Running script with excellent "Flying White" (dry brush) technique on the central character. Inscription: Includes the verse "Those who are content are always happy; those who can endure will naturally find peace." Framing: Professionally matted and framed in a dark wood frame with a gold-tone inner lip. Condition Notes Front: The paper shows authentic "foxing" (small age spots) and light oxidation consistent with its 30+ year age. The ink remains bold and vibrant. Back: The paper backing on the frame is torn and shows significant water staining/discoloration (see photos). Note: The staining appears localized to the backing paper and does not seem to have reached the front of the artwork itself. Frame: Solid condition with minor surface wear.
