Lot #29: A.J. Casson (Group of Seven) “The White Village” Print – Signed and Numbered from his Gallery

As a member of the Canadian Group of Seven, A.J. Casson was the youngest member and joined the group in 1926. He was known for Southern Ontario Landscapes, Forests and Rural Scenes, this one is called “The white Village” and was originally done in 1920-1940 and was an oil on canvas, this print is from his studio and is pencil signed and numbered , measures 35 inches by 32.5 inches, you can tell it is from his studio where is was framed and a lovely medallion was placed in the lower matting making this an elegant museum looking piece of art.
