Lot #36: Antanas Kmieliauskis Lithograph “Roma” Framed - Excellent

Mr. Kmieliauskas (1932-2019) was a Lithuanian Painter, Sculptor and Graphic Artist and teacher at a children’s art school, he was a highly regarded member of the Lithuanian Artist’s Association. Winning many cultural awards and gainng high acclaims for many public works, over his many years he painted many landscapes, compositions and finished more than 70 granite and marble sculpture monuments, while his frescos can be found on numerous Church Ceilings and has many monuments around the country including a monument dedicated to the soldiers from Lithuania who died in the Soviet-Afghan War (1979-1989). This fantastic Lithograph is titled “ROMA” dated 1988 with its strong multi blended images with subdued colors with the exception of some type of animal with some red, it captures the fever of the Colosseum. It has something written in pencil at the bottom (I cannot read it) along with the date and “Roma”. Measuring 32 inches by 26.5 inches beautifully framed and in excellent condition.
