Lot #15: Vintage Stetson Custom-Made Emerald Green Fedora

During an estate sale clean out, I found in a bedroom a Vintage Stetson Custom-Made Emerald Green Fedora. After doing some researching, it was determined that this hat is an exceptional and rare example of a Stetson "Custom Made" men’s fedora in a vibrant, deep emerald, green fur felt. This hat features a classic center-dent crown with a medium-width brim and a matching grosgrain ribbon band. The interior is fully lined with white satin, protected by a plastic crown guard bearing the gold-leaf crest of "Wendell’s" of Lebanon, TN, suggesting this was a premium retail offering from a historic Tennessee haberdashery. This item also includes the original vintage Stetson tan-and-black circular hat box with a functional leather buckled carrying strap. The condition of the hat appears to be in excellent vintage condition. The felt maintains a rich color with no visible moth nips or staining. The interior sweatband and satin lining are clean, showing minimal signs of wear. The original hat box shows some light age-related wear/scuffing, but remains structurally sound and retains the original leather strap.
