This is a vintage Chinese vegetable cleaver, often referred to as a Cai Dao, highly regarded by collectors and chefs for its traditional carbon steel construction. Three Sheep Brand (San Yang Pai) made in Foshan, China (specifically the "Fushan" markings on the handle). Likely late 1960s to 1980s, indicated by the "People’s Republic of China" labeling and the style of the paper handle labels. The "1" stamped on the blade indicates the size.
