A graduate of the Cleveland School of Art, Carter finished his art education in Italy with Hans Hoffman, the legendary painter and instructor. Carter has since followed in his mentor's footsteps and taught art at various schools, including Carnegie Institute of Art and the University of Iowa. Like Jon Carsman, Carter was also influenced by Social Realism, which is the style that dominates his work. His art is included in the collections of many prestigious museums as well as private collections.

This Spanish artist has used woodcut techniques and primary colors extensively in his printmaking. Although printing with woodcuts has fallen out of fashion in recent years, it is the earliest form of printmaking, and a discipline that relies on the skill of the artist with their etching tool&nbsp;and woodblock. Through relief printmaking, the artist demonstrates his dexterity as he carves his image out of the wood or linoleum block.

In the third decade, he majored in theatre and art at California State University and the California Institute of the Arts and has settled in Los Angeles.

Mr. Miripolsky feels his artistic roots are in the Orient having been greatly influenced by periods of living in Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Bali and Iran where he sold his first paintings. His art embodies his dedication to colour; light and theatre. He aims to be provocative and thrilling. Mr. Miripolsky has exhibited in Tabriz, Iran; Djakarta, Indonesia; Seoul, Korea; and Los Angeles, U.S.A.

Limited Edition Serigraph "Kirov" Signed 181/300

Vintage Limited Edition Colour Serigraph &#34;Kirov&#34; by G.H. Rothe, signed and numbered (181/300).  Circa 1975.
Excellent Condition.  Never Framed. 
Aquired by Ballet Creole in 2005 as part of a large collection of rare vintage lithographs, now available for sale for the first time!

Born in Poland in 1935, Ms Rothe&#39;s family settled in Germany after World War II where she did an apprenticeship in jewelry (graduating in 1957) and studied Painting and Art History in Pforzheim Masterschool (Academy of Design).  During her artistic career, she has traveled to such places as Florence, Paris, London, Moscow, Madrid, and Uruguay. In 1973 she established her studio in New York and by 1978 was listed in Who&#39;s Who in American Art.

An expert in the technique of mezzotint (a technique she learned by researching, and studying mezzotint from hundreds of years past and practicing constantly to express a vast repertoire of images), Ms. Rothe has developed an invention never seen in mezzotint before: transparency.  A veteran of 31 one-woman shows and 35 group shows, her work can be found in 8 museums and in many private collections.
