Lot #131: Pink Depression Glass, Clear Depression Glass

Starting bidding

$1.00

Time Remaining:

Bidding starts in 0d 5h 7m

Item 1 - a vintage pink depression glass cream and sugar set in the "Cube" or "Cubist" pattern, manufactured by the Jeannette Glass Company between 1929 and 1933. The set includes one creamer and one open sugar bowl, both featuring a raised geometric diamond design. Pressed pink depression glass. While often called "Cubist" by collectors, it is officially known as the "Cube" pattern. Sugar bowl is 5.25" across (handle to handle) x 2.5" tall x 3.3/8" diameter. Item 2 - a candleholder is a classic from the Depression Era. Made by Jeanette Glass Company in the 1930s, it is a pretty example of the Windsor Pattern, which uses a diamond shape as its main design element. This refracts light beautifully. The geometric character of the pattern gives a very modern, dramatic flair. The neatest thing is that it can be used as a taper or votive candleholder, just flip it. This would look amazing in a grouping of other clear glass candleholders of different shapes and sizes, with all the same color candles. It is 3 inches tall and 4 inches across the base. It is in excellent vintage condition. Pickup category timeslot {A}
