Illustrated with 6 silk screens and 3 leaves of text, each mounted to board. Loose, as issued, housed in within paper wrappers and cloth chemise, in a large lidded portfolio box of brown velour designed in the shape of a hobby horse. Original subscription prospectus loosely inserted. This rare piece was made by the publishers as a sample which was proposed to be published in a limited edition of 54 copies by McClelland and Stewart in 1982 for the issue price of 25,000. It was never published. "Harold Town (1924–1990) was a brilliant figure in Canadian art from the 1950s to the 1980s. A founding member of the Abstract Expressionist group Painters Eleven, Town went on to explore a variety of media and styles.
