Bidding starts in 0d 1h 3m

Obverse: Features the "Fourth Portrait" of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The Queen is facing right and is shown without a crown. Inscribed ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA. Reverse: Designed by artist Nola McConnan, it features a powerful profile of a Wood Bison against a background of stylized maple leaves. The inscriptions include CANADA, 25 CENTS, and the date 2011. Struck at the Royal Canadian Mint in Winnipeg. The 2011 Wood Bison quarter is the third and final installment of the "Legendary Nature" series. Like the Peregrine Falcon and Orca coins listed above, this coin celebrates a significant Canadian conservation milestone—the recovery of a species that was once on the brink of extinction. The Wood Bison is the largest land mammal in North America. By the early 20th century, only a few hundred remained. Through the efforts of Parks Canada and conservationists, the population was stabilized and reintroduced to various parts of the Canadian North and West. Dimensions: Three-ply Nickel-plated Steel. 23.88 mm. 4.4 g. Pickup category timeslot {A}
